Three teens are facing charges after a gun call in Regina early Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded just after midnight to the 1100 block of Edgar Street for a weapons call.
Officers were told three youths had passed a house on foot and sprayed the resident’s dogs with bear mace. When the resident confronted the boys, one of them pointed a gun at her.
Police found the boys nearby. A witness saw one of the boys dropping a bag in which two guns were found.
A 15-year-old was charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon, obstructing a police officer (for giving a false name to police) and failing to comply with a disposition.
A 16-year-old was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. Another 16-year-old was charged with one count of failing to comply.
None of them can be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They appeared in court Tuesday.
