There have only been a few incidents so far at the Queen City Ex that required a police response.
The Regina Police Service always maintains a presence at the exhibition, where they work with security staff to make sure everyone is safe while enjoying the fair. According to police, there have only been a handful of incidents so far this year and no criminal charges.
As of Friday, Police have dealt with three assaults at the exhibition, along with a few fights without any injuries reported and a few intoxicated people who had to be ejected for “disorderly behavior.” No charges have been laid, police said, though some of the incidents are still being investigated.
About a dozen children became separated from their guardians during the Ex, police said, but they were all safely reunited with their parents or caregivers.
Police reminded those in attendance that the Ex takes place on private property, and the Regina Exhibition Association sets the rules.
