Connor Bedard headlines the veteran-laden roster that’s preparing for the Regina Pats’ training camp.
The WHL team announced Friday that 18 players from last season’s squad are to be at camp, along with a number of signed prospects who appeared in games with the Pats during the 2021-22 campaign.
The camp is to run from Sept. 2 to Sept. 7 at the Brandt Centre. The annual Blue vs. White intrasquad game is to be played Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.
Admission is free to all of the training-camp workouts. Tickets for the intrasquad game are $10 with a donation of a non-perishable food item to the Regina Food Bank or $15 without a donation.
A total of 58 players — 34 forwards, 17 defencemen and seven goalies — are slated to attend training camp. That includes 11 free agents, eight players selected by the Pats in the 2022 WHL draft and nine players chosen in the 2021 draft.
