Organizers of the 2022 Grey Cup Festival in Regina have put out the call for local performers to showcase their talent on the community stage.
A stage at the south end of Confederation Park will feature local talent from Nov. 17 to Nov. 19 during the festival, with shows running from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
Any and all entertainment acts are invited to apply for a spot on the stage, organizers said in a news release, including bands, solo musical artists, dancers, and other shows.
Saskatchewan Roughriders president-CEO Craig Reynolds, who’s serving as the festival’s co-chair, said organizers felt it was important to feature Saskatchewan entertainers during the party leading up to the Grey Cup, which is to be played at Mosaic Stadium on Nov. 20.
“We know there is so much incredible talent right here in Saskatchewan, and we wanted (to) provide some of our best and brightest the opportunity to be part of the Grey Cup Festival,” Reynolds said in a release.
Anyone interested in applying to perform can apply through the festival website.
