8:30 – As grocery prices climb, more and more people need food banks to feed their families. According to a survey by the Canadian Hub for Applied and Social Research at the University of Saskatchewan, most people are using coupons or are hunting for deals, and some people are making even more difficult choices, like skipping meals. The survey also found that food bank use is highest on the Prairies. Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director at the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, joins guest host Taylor MacPherson to tell us more about the need at the local food bank and what they’re doing to help people.

11:30 – His father was known as Reveen, a master hypnotist and illusionist. Now, the late Peter Reveen’s son Tyrone stars in the new Reveen Show and it’s touring Saskatchewan this weekend. Tyrone Reveen performs at TCU Place in Saskatoon tonight and Conexus Arts Centre Regina tomorrow. He joins Taylor ahead of his Saskatchewan shows.

12:00 – Candy Greff has been named this year’s Silver Cross Mother by the Royal Canadian Legion. Greff’s son Byron was the last Canadian soldier killed in Afghanistan in 2011. This Remembrance Day, on behalf of all mothers who have lost children in service to Canada, Candy Greff will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial. She joins Taylor to tell us more about her late son Byron.
