The barn doors are open at Agribition.
The six-day event kicks off at REAL District with the Burning of the Brand and a free pancake breakfast starting at 10 a.m.
This is Shaun Kindopp’s first year as Agribition’s CEO; he took over in August when former CEO Chris Lane moved on.
For those who have never been to Agribition, Kindopp promises it’s always a good time.
“We want people to know that even if you don’t come from a farming or a livestock background, we truly do have something for everybody,” said Kindopp.
He said there’s lots to look forward to with the show, especially in the barns.
“You’re going to see a lot of passion from people,” said Kindopp. “This is their livelihood and they put such care into these animals.”
Cows, bison and alpacas are just some of the animals up for show and competition in the barns.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, there’s to be an Indigenous Agriculture Summit.
Two actors from the TV show “Yellowstone” also are to be kicking dirt around Agribition. Ian Bohen and Denim Richards are to meet fans at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ticket prices for the meet-and-greet are $100.
The event will kick off with free admission into the buildings and free admission to the rodeo in the evening.
Ticket prices through the door per day for the rest of the week will be $23 for adults, $5 for kids aged 13 to 17, and free for kids 12 and under.
Agribition is to run until Saturday.
