The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation is looking for donations to help wildlife resources in the province.
The federation is again holding its Guns for Habitat and Antlers for Habitat initiatives, which accept the donations of unwanted firearms, hunting and fishing equipment as well as antlers.
Since their inception in 1998, the campaigns have raised more than $270,000. Matching programs raise that number fourfold.
“We appreciate the generosity of everyone who has donated to these programs in the past. All of the proceeds from the sale of these items are used to secure critical wildlife habitat in our province for the benefit of our wildlife resources and generations of Saskatchewan residents,” said Darren Newberry, the director of habitat lands for the SWF.
The federation will arrange to pick up donations anywhere in the province, and also will provide help with the firearm transfer process.
