The Moose Jaw Warriors were able to take two straight games from the Saskatoon Blades on back-to-back nights.
On the back half of a home-and-home the Warriors defeated the Blades 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday night.
The Warriors gave up a two-goal lead pushing the game into OT, but Maximus Wanner sealed it for the extra point less than a minute in.
Egor Sidorov, Trevor Wong and Connor Roulette twice found the back of the net for Saskatoon but it wasn’t enough as the Warriors are now tied with the Blades in the standings each with 58 on the season.
Ryder Korczak, Jagger Firkus and two from Atley Calvert scored for Moose Jaw during regulation.
Connor Ungar was sharp again for the Warriors winning his second straight game after getting back-to-back starts stopping 39 shots on Wednesday.
While Moose Jaw only mustered 17 shots on the night but it was all they needed to get past the tandem of Ethan Chadwick and Austin Elliott who both spent time in the crease.
The Blades will have Thursday off before playing their second home-and-home series of the week when they welcome in the Prince Albert Raiders to the SaskTel Centre on Friday night. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
