In a media release Friday, police said their Drug Unit — with help from the Provincial GIS Section of the RCMP in Yorkton, members of the Yorkton RCMP detachment, and Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan — executed a search warrant at a house in Saltcoats on Thursday.
A 42-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested, and police said they seized 3,200 grams of methamphetamine, more than 820 grams of fentanyl, an undisclosed amount of cocaine, and Canadian currency.
The suspects were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possessing proceeds of crime under $5,000. The woman also was charged with failing to comply with release conditions.
They were to make their first court appearances Friday.
