Premier Scott Moe is headed to the Lone Star State.
The premier, along with Energy and Resources Minister Jim Reiter, will lead a trade mission to Houston, Texas from Wednesday to Friday.
The delegation will “meet with key U.S. investors and promote opportunities in Saskatchewan’s natural resource sectors,” the provincial government said in a statement.
The government said Moe and Reiter will also hold meetings with U.S. energy and resource companies and private equity firms, which will offer an opportunity to promote the province.
“Saskatchewan is one of the few jurisdictions that has the ability to help provide food and energy security in a global context,” Moe said in the statement.
“We will continue telling our province’s story to the world to attract investment and sustainably grow our most important job-creating industries.”
The government said Saskatchewan’s delegates will join an investment forum featuring panel discussions for investors to learn more about the province’s industries, including oil and gas, carbon capture, helium, critical minerals, and agriculture.
Jeremy Harrison, Saskatchewan’s trade and export development minister, is currently leading a trade delegation to Japan and South Korea, which is also scheduled to wrap up on Friday.
