The Saskatchewan RCMP is reminding anglers not to leave any valuables behind after they’re done ice fishing.
The RCMP says its detachment in Southey has confirmed two reported break-ins at ice shacks within the last week or so.
The RCMP advises people who go ice fishing to make sure they bring their important items back home when they’re finished on the ice.
The Mounties also recommend that people lock up the shack after each use.
If people must leave anything in the shack for whatever reason, the RCMP says the item should not be within clear view of the outside window.
