A 20-year-old Regina woman is facing charges after allegedly making violent threats against a high school student.
Police were called to a school on College Avenue on Friday morning after receiving a report that threatening messages had been directed at a student there. The police didn’t identify the school, but Balfour Collegiate is in that block.
“Early information provided to police suggested the messages included threats of violence that may be carried out at the school,” Regina police said in a statement.
Police said investigating officers determined the source of the messages and on Sunday, the 20-year-old woman was arrested without incident at a Regina home.
She’s now facing three charges of uttering threats, police said. She made her first appearance in court Monday.
