Police in Regina are appealing to the public for information after a taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint Sunday.
According to police, the driver picked up two passengers — a man and a woman — from a business on Avonhurst Drive at about 5:30 p.m. The taxi operator was then told to stop in an alley off Retallack Street, police said, where the male passenger drew a firearm and robbed the driver.
Police said the pair got away with personal items belonging to the driver. No descriptions of the suspects were available.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call police at (306) 777-6500 or to make an anonymous report through Regina Crime Stoppers at https://www.reginacrimestoppers.ca/ or 1-800-222-8477.
