A 47-year-old man is dead after he was struck and killed by a vehicle on Victoria Avenue East in Regina early Saturday.
Police were called to the 1800 block of Victoria at around 7 a.m. Saturday, for a report of the collision. Officers who arrived on the scene found the man in the road, and paramedics who attended pronounced the man dead.
In a media release, police said they wouldn’t be releasing the man’s name.
All eastbound traffic in the area was diverted for about four hours.
“At this early stage in the investigation, no other details are available,” the police release said. “It is not known at this time what charges, if any, may result.”
