Regina police have charged four people in connection with break-ins to businesses in the city.
In a media release, police said two men were arrested Saturday just before 3 a.m., after a break-in at a business in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue. Police were told at least one man had entered the business.
The suspects had taken off by the time officers arrived, but the investigation led police to a house in the 900 block of 12th
Avenue where two men were arrested.
A 20-year-old Regina man was charged with breaking and entering and obstructing a peace officer. A 19-year-old man from the Queen City was charged with breaking and entering in connection with that incident, and also was linked by police to break-ins Nov. 15, Feb. 11 and Feb. 16 at businesses on Victoria Avenue and Sherwood Drive.
Later Saturday, two other men were arrested after a break-in at a business in the 600 block of Broad Street.
Police were told a vehicle stolen in a break-and-enter at the same address Friday had returned. Officers found two men in the vehicle in the business compound and arrested them.
Investigators subsequently connected one of the suspects to another break-in Friday at a business in the 2700 block of Gordon Road.
A 20-year-old man from the Piapot First Nation and a 27-year-old Regina man were charged with a variety of offences, including breaking and entering, possession of stolen property over $5,000, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
