A 12-year-old was one of three boys charged after a man allegedly was robbed in Regina’s northwest Tuesday evening.
According to police, officers responded at about 9:15 p.m., to the 400 block of McCarthy Boulevard North in the Normanview area of the city for a report of a man being robbed.
The victim told police he had been approached by the suspects, who demanded money and property. Police said the suspects then assaulted the victim until other people intervened.
Police said the man suffered scrapes during the attack.
Officers found three boys matching the suspects’ descriptions in the area and arrested them. A 12-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old were charged with robbery; the 13-year-old also was charged with a breach of conditions.
The boys, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were to make their first court appearances Wednesday.
