Two weeks after a man was shot during a home invasion in Regina, a 27-year-old man from the city has been charged.
According to police, the incident happened just before 3 a.m. on April 2. Police said officers responding to a call about a weapons offence in the area of 11th Avenue and Quebec Street found paramedics treating a man who had been assaulted and shot in a nearby home.
Police said the man told officers he was in a house in the 1700 block of Quebec Street when three men entered the home, assaulted him and shot him. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
A release from police said that on Sunday, officers arrested a 27-year-old man and charged him with attempted murder.
