Regina police say the death of a man in the city early Friday was not criminal in nature.
In a media release Friday afternoon, police said they and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service determined the death of the 38-year-old man wasn’t suspicious.
Officers responded at about 1:30 a.m. to the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Elphinstone Street for the report of a dead person. Police later said their investigation, as well as an autopsy authorized by the coroner, concluded foul play wasn’t involved in the man’s death.
The release didn’t include a cause of death. Police also said they wouldn’t be releasing the man’s name.
Police said the coroner’s service is to continue the investigation, with their assistance.
