A 29-year-old Regina man has been charged after an alleged incident of road rage.
According to a media release, a woman called police Tuesday evening and said she had been in an incident that ended with another driver allegedly ramming her vehicle.
The woman told police she had been driving west on McCallum Avenue and was preparing to turn south on Angus Street when another driver heading east on McCallum drove his vehicle at her at a high rate of speed. That kept her from making her turn.
“After she pulled over nearby, the driver of the other vehicle pulled up next to her, threw an object at her vehicle, and drove away at a high rate of speed,” the police release said. “The vehicle returned once again, ramming his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then drove away.”
Police subsequently found the suspect, who was charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, and failing to stop after an accident. He made his first court appearance Wednesday.
