Sunday is a day when a mom or a mother figure is celebrated and all that she has done.
Being a mom can be a tireless job, but also rewarding.
There are also some things kids and even adults love about mom.
Harper from Saska had a long list of what she loves about Mom.
She said baking brownies, watching The Lego Movie, eating hash browns and sausages, and playing with make-up is just some of the things she loves about mom.
But, that’s not the only thing she loves, Harper also loves getting hugs and kisses from her mom.
“She kisses my boo-boos better,” she said.
Adults are also reflecting on Mom and the advice they have heard over the years.
Listeners phoned into Gormley on Friday to share what they heard throughout their childhood.
Roger shared that when he was starting a family his mom would always give advice and one day he said I’m okay mom.
That’s when he heard something that always stuck with him.
“I will always be your mom and I will always love you,” she said.
Other moms had some fun sayings that stuck around as an adult, like Tanya.
This is what she heard.
“A clear conscience is the softest pillow,” she said.
While we may associate Mother’s Day with humans it’s not just about them.
Animals can be moms too and at Wanuskewin Heritage Park one bison is celebrating.
A baby bison was born last week and is being called bigger than a prairie dog because of its orange fluffy fur.
The park said that the bison is doing well.
