Regina residents can beat the heat starting this weekend.
The City of Regina announced Thursday that most of the city’s outdoor spray pads are to open Saturday. They’re to be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. until mid-September, weather permitting.
The new Wascana Park spray pad will open along with the pool in June. The rest of the city’s outdoor pools also are slated to open in June.
The city’s release Thursday also reminded people about the picnic areas in many city parks, the four skateboard parks around town, and the outdoor tennis, pickleball and basketball courts.
There are five year-round off-leash dog parks as well as eight seasonal off-leash dog parks located in the city’s outdoor, boarded skating rinks.
