8:30 – A Canadian took a stand and stepped down from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), citing ties to China’s Communist Party and toxic environment. After this move, the federal government halted all activity with the investment bank. That Canadian was Bob Pickard, who was the Director General of Communications of AIIB before stepping down.
