A 29-year-old man remains in intensive care after being badly injured in an assault.
Just before 1:30 a.m. on May 3, Regina police were called to an apartment on the 500 block of Wascana Street by a man who said he’d been assaulted.
Officers on the scene first found a 55-year-old man who described being attacked by a man he didn’t know, who then left his apartment.
In a different part of the building, a 29-year-old man was found unconscious with what police described as very serious injuries. He was taken to hospital.
Police and canine searched the area at the time, but were unsuccessful in finding the suspect.
On May 10, 29-year-old Eric Philip R. Stevens, from Regina, was arrested in connection to both assaults. He’s been charged with one count of attempted murder and assault.
Stevens appeared in Regina court Thursday afternoon.
