A 29-year-old man has been charged with unlawfully endangering a child’s life in Moose Jaw.
On Tuesday, Moose Jaw police officers responded to a report of a person running in and out of traffic while pushing a baby stroller in the east side of the city.
According to a news release, when police arrived, the man refused to stop for them and ran toward oncoming traffic. The man was eventually stopped with help from the public near what was described as an “East side business.” The four-year-old child wasn’t hurt.
The 29-year-old was taken to the hospital for assessment.
In addition to endangering a child’s life, the man is charged with assault and resisting arrest.
The Moose Jaw Police Service said the investigation will continue into the circumstances around this incident.
The release said the man will have a later court date, but didn’t say exactly when.
