Fire crews were on scene through the night after a grass fire broke out east of Outlook, Sask. on Friday evening.
The fire began at a cube plant in Broderick and spread to hundreds of hay bales. By the time the fire was contained Saturday afternoon, over 1200 bales were lost.
Winds in the area were gusting near 50 km/h on Friday evening, with the blowing smoke reducing visibility on surrounding roads, including Highway 15.
Damage is estimated at $100,000.
