The fifth annual Cameco Step Up for Mental Health drew almost 7,000 people to the downtown on Sunday as participants walked and jogged to raise awareness and money for an illness that affects one in five Canadians every year.
Organizers announced this year’s event raised over $600,000. Since 2019, the event has raised more than $2-million.
The funds raised through Step Up for Mental Health are disbursed annually to organizations undertaking projects that promote or support mental health.
