A Regina construction company has been fined $56,000 for violating the province’s occupational health and safety regulations.
The Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety said Thursday that Morsky Construction Ltd. pleaded guilty in Regina Provincial Court on Oct. 5 to one violation of OHS regulations.
The charge was laid in the wake of an incident in Regina in March of 2021. According to the ministry, “a worker suffered serious injuries when the leading edge of a jump jeep fell on their foot.”
The company was fined $40,000, with a surcharge of $16,000.
One other charge was withdrawn.
