Legendary Dominican baseball player José Bautista will be the guest of honour at a dinner in Saskatoon in February.
Bautista played for the Toronto Blue Jays from 2008 and 2017, where he became known for his power hitting, home runs and his signature bat flip, which became an Internet sensation in 2015.
On Feb. 2, “Joey Bats” will headline the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club’s 62nd annual Kinsmen Sports Celebrity Dinner.
The event feature other famous Blue Jays names, as the dinner will be hosted by Jamie Campbell, host of Blue Jays Central.
The club said the dinner at Saskatoon’s TCU Place will feature a gourmet meal and plenty of behind-the-scenes stories from the celebrity guests.
Bautista isn’t the first Blue Jays star to appear at the dinner. Last year’s event featured Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alek Manoah and Jordan Romano.
More information on the event and tickets can be found on the Kinsmen Club’s website.
