He later moved into other areas within provincial government, eventually becoming a Deputy Minister of Justice and Saskatchewan’s provincial Ombudsman.
9:00 – After a record four days of debating and deliberating, Saskatoon city councillors have decided property taxes will go up by 6.04 per cent in 2024 and 5.64 per cent in 2025. Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark joins Evan to discuss how the deliberations played out.
9:30 – The Saskatchewan Roughriders have a new head coach – Corey Mace! Coach Mace joins Evan to discuss his hopes for the team as we gear up for next season.

12:00 – Effective today, Health Canada has lifted a ban on blood donations that stemmed from fear of mad cow disease. For two decades, people who lived or travelled in the United Kingdom or France for long periods of time in the 1980s and 1990s have not been allowed to donate blood. Provincial News Director Sarah Mills joins Evan to discuss the lifting of the ban and shares why the ability to donate blood means so much to her.
