A 16-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to a man’s death on Retallack Street just before Christmas.
Police were called on Dec. 21 to the 1300 block of Retallack Street in the North Central neighbourhood for a report of an injured man outside a house.
The man was taken by paramedics to hospital, where he later died.
Police said they’re not releasing the man’s name. Details of his injuries weren’t released either.
A media release from police two days after the man’s death said he had been murdered.
On Friday, police said their investigation led to the arrest of the 16-year-old boy, who can’t be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The teen made his first court appearance Friday morning.
