One man was taken to hospital after a possible shooting early Monday morning in Regina.
Police received a call around 3:30 a.m. saying gunfire may have been heard in the area of 200-300 blocks of Fines Drive.
When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man with injuries. He was taken to hospital.
Police secured the area early in the morning and believe the incident occurred outside.
Officers are holding a residence in the area, believed to be associated with the incident. Resident Lea Willmott has lived in the neighbourhood for 10 years.
“I got up and I was a little nervous and then the cops, cause they came to the door, and they said that everyone had to evacuate the building,” she said.
Willmot said this sort of thing doesn’t happen in the area, but wants to see stricter gun control regulations.
Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
