An 18-year-old woman has died as a result of the injuries she suffered in a crash Thursday on the Trans-Canada Highway at Moose Jaw.
In an update, the Moose Jaw Police Service said the woman died Monday morning at a Regina hospital.
Police said the woman was working on the highway near the Manitoba Expressway when she was “struck by her co-worker in a work vehicle at a low rate of speed.”
A media release from police Thursday said the woman had been trapped under the vehicle. The westbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours as emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The update said the woman was taken to hospital in Moose Jaw before being transported to Regina.
Moose Jaw police, who are investigating the crash along with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, said they wouldn’t be making further comment.
