A second person has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with a man’s death on The Key First Nation in 2022.
Jeffrey Kayseas, 35, from the Fishing Lake First Nation was arrested and charged Wednesday. His arrest came just days after 32-year-old Natashia Marie Keshane was picked up the RCMP.
Both are charged in the shooting death of 51-year-old Cory Papequash of The Key First Nation.
On Oct. 23, 2022, Mounties from the Kamsack detachment responded to a call about a gun being fired in a house on The Key First Nation, which is located about 15 kilometres south of Norquay.
Inside the house, officers found a man who subsequently was pronounced dead by paramedics.
Kayseas appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday.
