A 17-year-old boy is facing charges for allegedly using fraudulent identification and credit cards to buy tires from car dealerships.
Saskatoon police said a search of a storage locker and U-Haul found 48 tires worth a reported $24,000.

On Tuesday, Regina police told their counterparts in Saskatoon about a string of tire thefts. After investigating, police identified a suspect, and the 17-year-old was arrested and charged with theft over $5,000 and fraud over $5,000.
Saskatoon police have determined the thefts allegedly occurred in Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and other communities in the province.
