Kicking off the segment, the opening of Taco Bell in Regina has some city residents thrilled. 650 CKOM and 980 CJME Rider reporter, Britton Gray, is one of them and tells Evan about his own past travels to secure food from the restaurant.
9:30 – Cowessess First Nation just marked a major milestone, receiving the transfer Crown mineral rights to the First Nation under the Cowessess Treaty Land Entitlement Settlement Agreement. Chief of Cowessess First Nation, Erica Beaudin, joins Evan to discuss getting almost 4,000 acres of land through the settlement agreement.
10:00 – Is there anything left for Shercome Industries in Saskatchewan? Now that the Saskatchewan tire recycling company has lost out on the last remaining contract in the province, president Shane Olson joins Evan to talk about what the company’s next steps are in Saskatchewan.
10:30 – A child under the age of five just died of the measles in Ontario. Microbiologist Dr. Joseph Blondeau joins Evan to talk about the risk of that disease this year.
