A yard sale took a turn for the worse late Thursday morning in Regina.
Police were called to a house on the 4100 block of 17th Avenue, near Pasqua Street after two people were attacked with a knife.
Carol Bell lives next door and said this is not normal for the area.
“I was so taken aback to see all this,” she said. “This is a very quiet neighbourhood.”
She said her neighbours were setting up for the sale when the incident occurred.
“My neighbour next door, the husband was standing out front with his neighbour next to him,” said Bell. “They were just standing and talking. Someone came down the street, pulled a knife and stabbed them.”
Police said officers arrived on the scene along with EMS to find victims with non-life-threatening injuries. The two people were sent to hospital.
Bell said the neighbourhood is filled with families and children. She thinks the attack will put the neighbourhood on edge.
Police are asking anyone with any information on the attack to contact the Regina Police Service (306-777-6500) or Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477).
