A 50-year-old Regina man has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly luring a teen he met online.
According to police, the alleged assault took place over the winter of 2022/23.
“Investigation determined the male had met the victim online before the sexual assault had taken place,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement. “During his online communication with the victim, he asked for sexually explicit photos and shared sexually explicit videos.”

Cary Harold Reid was subsequently charged with sexual assault, making sexually explicit material available to a person under 18, obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18, and luring a person under 18 by telecommunication.
He made his first court appearance on Thursday, police said.
“The possibility does exist that there are other victims,” the police service added.
