11:30 – Saskatchewan is initiating mandatory testing for bovine tuberculosis and is continuing to watch wildlife for chronic wasting disease. What does that mean and what do you need to know for hunting season this fall? Evan finds out from Dr. Iga Stasiak, provincial wildlife health specialist with the Government of Saskatchewan.
LQ: Have you participated in testing for wildlife you’ve hunted?
12:00 – Canadian author, Romie Christie, will be travelling back to Le Touquet in France for a special 80th anniversary celebration of the town’s liberation at the end of the Second World War – during which time her parents had their fateful meeting before moving to Saskatchewan. The celebrations will include a re-enactment of her parents first encounter, told by Christie in See You in Le Touquet: A Memoir of War and Destiny. Christie joins Evan to recall her family’s history and the events coming up this September.
