The Regina Police Service (RPS) is warning the public of an increased number of scams targeting the elderly.
In the past 24 hours, it has received an influx in fraud cases that are know as an “Emergency Scam.”
These scams prey on the fear of a loved one being hurt or in trouble. The scammers claim to be someone you know and tell you they need money immediately.
RPS wants to remind people of the following:
