A Taser was used to subdue a man who was violent with police during an arrest in Eastview on Saturday.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a news release that officers were called around 1:30 p.m. to a home in the 1000 block of Edgar St after a report of an attempted break-in.

Police found a man, who then became aggressive. RPS said he was violent with police, ignored
commands, and assaulted one of the officers.
Police then used a Taser and arrested him, saying the man was not injured but he was assessed by paramedics because of his agitated and violent state.
A 36-year-old Regina man has been charged with disarming an officer, mischief and assault with intent to resist an arrest and is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Monday.
RPS policy requires that any use of a Taser by an officer be publicly announced, and the incident will be reviewed to determine if the use of force was appropriate.
