A crash at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 3, just north of Lloydminster, left a 71-year-old man and a 27-year-old man dead on Sunday.
According to the RCMP, a car and a truck collided at around noon, near the community of Alcurve, Alberta.
The 71-year-old Lloydminster man who was driving the truck was pronounced dead by paramedics while he was being transported to a hospital, police said, and a 27-year-old Lloydminster man who was a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The families have been notified of the deaths, the RCMP said.
The driver of the car and a passenger who was inside the truck were also hospitalized after the crash.
“Maidstone RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist,” the RCMP said in a statement.
