The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) has provided an update regarding the fire that occurred Friday night at Capones Hideaway Motel that resulted in an individual being transported in critical condition to the hospital with fire-related injuries.
MJPS confirmed today that the individual in question, a 27-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at a Regina hospital on Saturday.

The MJPS, Moose Jaw Fire Department, as well as the Saskatchewan Coroners Office and Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, continue to investigate the incident.
The MJPS says no other injuries have been reported.
The MJFD told Discover Moose Jaw that three fire trucks and 11 personnel attended the fire but were unable to provide further details this morning.
The police service said the call came in at 11:10 p.m. Friday night and that the MJFD were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
MJPS stated in a release that no further comment will be made at this time.
