A crash on Highway 14 east of Biggar that killed a 35-year-old Saskatoon man last week was also deadly for the livestock the semi was hauling.
RCMP said on Monday that 50 pigs were killed or euthanized due to their injuries after the collision on Highway 14 on Thursday around 12:40 p.m.
The Mounties said the semi was hauling around 125 pigs at the time of the collision.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was declared dead at the scene by paramedics, while the driver of the semi was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
