Hockey sticks stolen in 2019 from Extreme Sports Regina have been recovered by Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) in a fentanyl and cocaine trafficking investigation investigation.
SPS said in a news release on Friday the hockey sticks were among items found by the force’s crime reduction team in an operation last week.

Four people are facing a total of 16 charges as a result of the operation including possession of fentanyl for trafficking, possession of cocaine for trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5000 and possession of a dangerous weapon.
SPS said that on March 8 police arrested a 40-year-old man in the 1500 block of 19th Street West in Pleasant Hill around 9 p.m. The man had cocaine and bear spray on him when he was arrested.
Police said that three people were then arrested at a traffic stop at Circle Drive and Lorne Avenue a short time later, and they seized cash during those arrests.
Then around 12 a.m. on March 9, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Fortosky Manor in Parkridge, where one man was arrested.
As well as the hockey sticks, police said they also seized:
- 26.3g of fentanyl (blue, orange, red, purple and brown)
- $1795
- 11.4g of powdered cocaine
- 2.6g of hard cocaine
- 84 oxycodone pills (Percocet)
- 2g of methamphetamine
- 26 shotgun shells
- 23 9mm pistol shells
- Four knives
- A machete
- A can of bear spray and
- A stolen motorcycle
