Regina’s 11th Avenue Revitalization Project and The Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization Project will kick the city’s 2025 construction season off on Monday.
In a pair of news releases this week, the city said both projects would kick off on April 7, with all bus stops on 11th Avenue between Albert and Broad streets moving to Victoria Avenue, Lorne Street, 12th Avenue and Albert Street on Sunday.

The city said the 11th Avenue project will include upgrading roads, sidewalks, lighting and aging underground infrastructure on 11th Avenue between Albert and Broad streets in partnership with SaskPower and SaskTel.
Now in its third year, the final look of the project is beginning to take shape and people can see how 11th Ave might look at Regina.ca/11thavenue, where residents can also find information about transit changes and current traffic restrictions for all of 11th Avenue from Broad Street to Sinton Lane.
The first restriction on April 7 will include a road closure between Broad and Lorne streets to the end of October, the city release said, adding the work will complete upgrades to underground utilities, as well as reconstruct the road and sidewalks while enhancing accessibility.
The city also said that there will also be infrequent road restrictions between Albert and Lorne streets to prepare the site for upcoming utility work.
Pedestrian access remains open throughout the construction zone, including access to local businesses, it added. The temporary transit stops will remain in place until October.

Meanwhile, the Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization Project will see Dewdney Avenue closed from Albert to Lorne streets and from Scarth to Broad streets for two to three months.
The project is entering its second year of construction in Regina.
The city said the area would see road closures throughout construction but local businesses would remain open, adding that walkways along the north side of Dewdney Avenue and free parking in the Yards neighbourhood site accessed via Scarth Street would be available.
The closures are expected to change as the work progresses, and the city said residents can check the online roads report for the latest updates.
The project will feature a new road flanked by wider sidewalks, along with lighting improvements, a tree canopy, multi-purpose outdoor spaces and new landscaping, the city said.
