A firearm was shot and bear spray was deployed at a residence on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation on April 12, leaving one male injured.
Ahtahkakoop RCMP said “a group of individuals were outside a residence on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation when they were approached by four males.”
Police said the victim’s injuries as serious but non-life-threatening in nature and EMS transported him to the hospital.

Three boys were arrested on April 13 and appeared in the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation court on April 14.
Prince Albert Police Service arrested the fourth boy on April 16 and is scheduled to appear in the same court as the other three on April 23.
He is charged with the following:
- one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code;
- one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, unauthorized possession of a firearm, Section 91(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1).
Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, none of the four male youths can be identified.
