The only legal cannabis outlet within an hours drive of Saskatoon has run out of stock just three days after the drug became legal in Canada.
Jimmy’s Cannabis store in Martensville posted to its Facebook page Thursday to inform customers they sold out of pot products.
The post suggested they expected another shipment in about a week. While they wouldn’t have cannabis on the shelves, the post noted other items such as apparel and accessories would still be available.
Jimmy’s was one of six outlets that opened with cannabis to sell on Oct. 17, out of over 50 licensed shops in the province.
No stores were able to open in either Saskatoon or Regina due mainly to supply shortages.
Jimmy’s wrote that its Battlefords location still had a limited amount of cannabis on hand as of Thursday, with sales to be conducted on a first-come, first served basis.
