A point never thought of at the last Regina city council meeting has put a speed bump into the pot shop zoning bylaw.
At Monday night’s meeting, the bylaw put forward said a pot shop can’t move into an area within one block of places like schools, playgrounds, or daycares.
But, last night it was brought up by councillor Lori Bresciani that daycares or playgrounds shouldn’t be able to move into the buffer zone around an already established pot shop either.
Council will rewrite the regulation to reflect the point made, and the newly written bylaw will come back for a vote at the end of June.
