Gravelbourg RCMP have arrested a second man in connection with the death of Claude Landry.
Landry, 48, of Kincaid was last seen on July 12 in Gravelbourg. Police later classified his missing persons case as suspicious.
Nine days later on July 21, 74-year-old Robert Arams was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Landry’s death. Arams also faces a charge of offering an indignity to a body.
On Tuesday, RCMP reported they had arrested David Earl Prentice on July 23 and also charged him with offering an indignity to Landry’s body.
Police said Prentice, 42, is from the community of Lafleche, located about 20 kilometres south of Gravelbourg. He made his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Landry’s common-law wife remembered him for his random acts of kindness and said he was very excited about an upcoming reunion with his large family the last time she saw him.
