Regina police arrest 1 after dispute turns violent

A 29-year-old woman is being charged after she allegedly injured another woman with a knife after an argument on Jan. 9, 2017.

A 29-year-old woman is facing charges after police were called to a home in North Central.

Officers arrived at a home on the 1400 block of Robinson Street around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

An argument between two women had turned violent, according to police. At first, the fight was broken up by a mutual friend of the two women.  But the women picked up the dispute again a short time later.

One of the women allegedly grabbed a paring knife from the kitchen and stabbed the other woman twice in the chest.

Amanda Wasacase was charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of breaching court orders.

Police reported that the other woman's injuries weren't life-threatening.
